How to create native charts for Google Slides?
Overview
All Google Slides presentations need to be uploaded into ValueCore as PowerPoint or .pptx files.
However, you need to be careful when formatting native PowerPoint charts when using Google Slides. This is because there exists some compatibility issues between Google Slides and PPT and they are:
Number format/Category should not be "General" for data sets, axis labels, etc.
Do not use transparent colors, as the colors in .pptx will not match the colors in Google Slides.
- Always test your charts, fonts, etc by opening the .pptx mock-up file in Google Slides. https://356labs.com/blog/import-powerpoint-google-slides/
- In the Excel file replace all relevant numbers and text with <VRvariable_name-idVR> in the internal Excel file powering the chart
