Add Single Variables in Sheets enabled DW

Overview

You can easily add variables in Discovery Wizard.

Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Follow the steps to Integrate with Google Sheets.



  1. Click Discovery Wizard on the Visualizer Type page.


  2. Follow the steps to Add Sections and Categories in Discovery Wizard.


  1. Click Create Variable.



  1. The Create New Variable pop-up box appears.


  2. Click inside the Choose Cell text box.



  1. The imported Google spreadsheet appears.



  1. Click a value on the Google spreadsheet and its code reference automatically appears in the Choose Cell text box of the Create New Variable pop-up box.



  1. Click inside the Descriptor text box.


  2. Click the corresponding variable on the Google spreadsheet and it also automatically appears in the Descriptor text box of the Create New Variable pop-up box.


  3. Click Create.




  1. Click Advanced and it expands to show text boxes where you can add Minimum and Maximum values.


  2. Click Create.



  1. The variable and the value added appear on the Prototype page.



  1. Click the Copy icon, if you want to copy the code reference.



  1. You can add any number of variables to the prototype.


  2. Click the pencil icon to change the variable and/or the value.


  3. Click the trash icon to delete the variable.
