STEP 5: Upload your Model / Create a Visualizer Type

Overview

For uploading a model or creating a Visualizer Type, you must have administrative access to your organization in ValueCore. If you are unsure or do not have access, please contact support@valuecore.ai.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Follow the steps to Access the Visualizer Types Page.

  1. Click Create New Visualizer Type on the Visualizer Types page.

  1. Provide an appropriate name and a brief description on the Create Visualizer Type page. The name is required but the description is optional. Including a version in your Visualizer Type is recommended so you can iterate as changes are made down the road.

  2. Click Create.

  1. Click Import Model via Excel to upload your configured model into the system.

  1. Click Choose File to upload the file from your device. If you built your model in a Google sheet, simply download it as Excel before uploading it.

  2. Select the document type (Generic File / Flat File) from the Import Excel Type drop-down list.

  3. Select Yes from the Override Existing Blockly/Javascript drop-down list.

  4. Do not change Import Equations As.

  5. Click Upload. When the upload is complete, a copy of the uploaded file automatically gets downloaded to your device.

Uploading a Generic File

  1. When you upload a Generic File, a flat-file gets downloaded to your device.

  2. The flattened file would have VROI_INPUTS and VROI_OUTPUTS. The VROI_OUTPUTS worksheet contains all the calculations.

  3. You need to add ENUMS and VLOOKUPS to the flattened file if needed.

  1. Open the Excel file and click Formulas and then click Show Formulas. It will help you to ensure whether all the cells are displaying formulas. If some cells are displaying only the resulting values, ensure to enter the formulas.

  1. Click Import Model via Excel to upload the flattened file.

Note:

  1. Confirm that there are no calculations within the VROI_INPUTS tab and that all calculations are located within the VROI_OUTPUTS tab.

  2. You will receive an error message if the uploaded model is not configured correctly. Please refer to the configuration guide Configuring Your Flat File Model to Upload: Variables, Initial Testing, and Advanced Layout to find the error.

  3. To create a flat file, follow the steps to Create a Simple Flattened Excel.

  4. To delete the visualizer type created by you, follow the steps to Delete a Visualizer Type.
