STEP 6: Add a Simple Table in Value Collaborator


Overview

The following are the steps to create a table in UI Builder.

Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Follow the steps to Upload your Model / Create a Visualizer Type.


  1. Click Value Collaborator on the Visualizer Type page.


  1. Click the down arrow button in the side navigation. A few menu buttons appear on the right pane.


  1. Click New Table. An Add New Table pop-up box appears.


  1. You can see that Simple Table is automatically selected in the Type field.


  2. Now enter the number of rows and columns needed for the table.


  3. Click Done. A new table gets added.


  1. Click Table. It expands to display the newly added table.


  1. Click the color box to select the background color of the header and rows.


  1. Hover the mouse on the first cell. Click the pencil icon.


  1. Enter the title in the text box and click Update. Click Remove to remove the label.


  1. A new tab appears if you have selected languages for translation. (Refer to Translate Tooltips in Value Collaborator to know how to select languages.)



  1. Click the tab and the Translation pop-up box appears. Provide translated text and then click Update Label's Translation.


  2. Follow the steps to Enable the AutoSave Feature in Value Collaborator.


  1. Click the eye icon and the Show/Hide Column pop-up box appears. This feature helps to show or hide that particular column.


  1. Click the Style icon to change the width of the particular column.


  2. You can also select the color for the title text and the column background.


  1. Click the Row/Column Operations icon to add or move rows or columns.


  2. Click Row or Column to add a new row or column to the table.


  3. You can also move a particular row or column to the position you want be it left, right up, or down.


  4. Click Merge Right to merge table cells.


  1. Click the trash icon and click Clear Cell to remove the text entered.


  2. Click Delete Column to delete the particular column. Click Delete Row to delete the particular row.



  1. Hover the mouse on the second row to see a new icon.


  2. Click the icon to add a tooltip. (Follow the steps to Add a Tooltip in Value Collaborator.). You can also translate tooltips. (Follow the steps to Translate Tooltips in Value Collaborator.)



  1. Click the + icon and click Add Label if you want to add a title.


  2. Click Add Variable to add the variables. Since you have uploaded the Excel file, a list of code references appears on clicking the tab.


  1. Click inside the text box to select the appropriate code reference from the drop-down list.


  2. Once the table is ready, click Prototype.


  1. The Prototype page displays the newly created table.


Copying/Deleting the Table


  1. On the Value Collaborator page, click Copy.


  1. To copy the table in the exact location (in the same tab and the same section), click Copy Here. The table appears below the current table.


  1. You can easily copy the table to another tab or section by entering the tab name or section name in the text box. Then click the checkbox. The table is copied to the new location.


  1. Click Delete to delete the table.
